Going Tieless With A Suit

We are now in the (spring/summer) seasons of the year where if we can or want to go tieless with a suit we can. This time of year and these days it is appropriate and stylish. The first things to focus on are the color and style of the suit. I suggest a navy or grey color suit, if you want a pattern make sure to select something subtle. The style can be a slim or a regular fit (if regular, size down one). Go with a two button jacket that either has a peak or notch lapel (any lapel width will work).

The next things you want to focus on is the fit and the collar style of the shirt. I suggest a slim or trim fit for the overall fit of the shirt because no one wants a sloppy fit. As for the collars, I suggest a spread or full spread and even a classic collar (depending on the individual’s taste) anything other, will be too short or too long.

Now for the shoes and accessories. This will elevate and add personality and style to the overall outfit. A nice contrasting printed pocket square (polka dot, plaid or a muted floral) you may also try a lapel flower or pin. For shoes I suggest, a loafer (with or without a tassel) or a double monk strap.

I suggest always having a tie handy in case you are in need of one (examples; the affair turns out to be more formal or business related).
